The Peregrine

Iron Will Innovations has released The Peregrine, a glove that takes the place of a keyboard for your PC games. The glove itself is relatively comfortable, having been constructed from a neoprene-like fabric. There are five contact points per finger, except on the pinky where there are three. In order to activate a contact point, you have to touch them with either the tip or the flat of the thumb, or you can touch a tip to the palm of your hand.

A USB cable connects to the glove via a magnetic pod that pops off when a little tension is applied. This is apparently great for when you throw your hands up in victory, but it isn’t something you’ll notice otherwise. There’s also an LED light that you can switch modes with: aside from steady illumination, there’s a breathing pattern, flashing “laser” mode, and another setting that just makes it brighter.

Currently, you can order The Peregrine from the company’s official site. Iron Will has also confirmed that the hardware is compatible with Mac OS X but its configuration software won’t be available until sometime in the future, so this is really still a Windows-only device for the time being.
